Dickinson said: "The manager has been clever really. He told the press we were down after we lost at Coventry last week, when really all that has done is take the pressure off the players.
"He has asked us to play for our pride and to take some small steps like getting off the bottom and winning away from home.
"We have managed one of them and our next target is to overtake Plymouth and win three games in a row.
"All we can do is pick up as many wins as possible and then see where we finish. We still have eight points to make up which is a lot in 10 matches, but you can tell from the last two performances we are going to have a go."
