Peterborough United boss Jim Gannon says he is happy with the terms he has been offered to stay at London Road.Gannon is currently only on a contract until the end of the season, but met with Posh owner Darragh MacAnthony for the first time on Monday.
The former Stockport and Motherwell manager told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It will be difficult to accept the job and difficult to turn it down.
"I need to sit down and bounce things off my family and friends."
Gannon has been a revelation since replacing Mark Cooper as manager at London Road.
He has managed four wins from his nine matches in charge, including a first away victory of the season at Watford.
"It was a constructive and enjoyable meeting with the chairman and Barry Fry and this club is very lucky to have two very passionate football people in charge," Gannon said.
"We talked about the parameters of the contract, but that isn't going to be the major factor - it's a personal decision."
Gannon's family are currently located in Stockport and he is set to give careful consideration as to whether a move to Posh is the right for them.
"I know where I stand in terms of what the club want and it's now about striking the right balance between the work and the quality of my family's life," he said.
"It was an easy decision to take this job short term, but it's much more difficult to take it long term."
Meanwhile, Posh formally revealed losses of £2.55m for the year ending May 2009 at their annual general meeting on Tuesday.
The club owe Darragh MacAnthony close to £8m in loans, but the chairman insists he is prepared to put more money in should the need arise.
