Posh moved to within two points of the top two with a 1-0 win at Notts County in midweek as Lee scored his first goal of the season and the versatile player believes Ferguson can guide them to promotion once again.
He said: "We feel like we are going to win every game at the moment. We are full of confidence and enjoying our football.
"I've not scored as many goals as I would have liked this season, but then I've not played as many games as I would have liked.
"Gary Johnson thought the team would be better without me and that I would be better off going out on loan to Gillingham.
"I'm glad I did at the time, but it's great to be back in the side. I'm sorry that Gary left, but I'm happy that Darren Ferguson came back because we know we can be successful under him again. The mood now is like it was two years ago when we won promotion from this division. We won't be complacent, but we are confident we can reach the top two."
