Peterborough United midfielder Tommy Rowe says they will continue to give their all for Jim Gannon despite the manager's imminent departure. The 21-year-old has started every match under Gannon, who turned down the offer of a long-term contract on Tuesday.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Nothing has changed and we're continuing the way we were before he announced his decision.
"It's a disappointing time, but we all sympathise with his reasons."
Despite their recent success under Gannon, Posh are destined for an immediate return to League One following promotion last summer.
Rowe was signed from Stockport in June, but had struggled to make an impact before the arrival of Gannon.
Nevertheless he is keen to stay at the club for next season and believes they will make an impact in League One.
"I've still got two more years after this season and I think next year will be a lot more positive," he said.
Posh host Bristol City at London Road on Saturday and are looking to make amends for three straight defeats.
Gannon is confident his decision to leave come the end of the season will not affect how the team perform.
"It was always a major issue for me how this would be handled by the club, but there's still a massive job to do ahead of next season," he said.
"I had a good chat with the players and they understand my decision and respect it."
Wolves loanee Mark Little is likely to be out for the season after suffering a hamstring strain in Tuesday's 4-0 defeat at Scunthorpe.
Liam Dickinson, Ryan Bennett, and Craig Morgan are closing in on a return to match action but Saturday's match will come too soon.
