Notoriously bad travellers Hartlepool United suffered another away day nightmare as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat against Peterborough at London Road.
Peter Kennedy started the rot on 15 minutes, leaving Jim Provett helpless with a vicious 20-yard left-footed free-kick, and the Pool goalkeeper was again little more than a spectator when Posh immediately returned to the attack and doubled their lead.
This time a well-constructed right side break engineered by Danny Sonner and Adam Newton resulted in a perfectly flighted cross that Calum Willock converted with a glancing header.
Posh could have gone further in front when player-coach Andy Legg, currently being linked with a move to Oldham, let fly from outside the area and Provett managed to save at the second attempt.
Legg went one better ten minutes into the second half and if he is leaving, the 38 year-old former Welsh international could hardly have signed off with a more spectacular goal, sending a 35-yard left-footed effort flying into the top right-hand corner of the net.
It was not hard to see why Hartlepool have lost seven out of eight away games so far as solitary striker Adam Boyd saw little of the ball in the first half and, although he had support from substitute Eifion Williams after the break, the service certainly did not improve.
Hartlepool were unable to prevent Posh from maintaining their momentum despite playing the last quarter of an hour with ten men after defender Chris Plummer was sent off for a second bookable offence. Incredibly, the home side also had defenders Adam Newton and Craig Ireland cautioned.
