Wycombe boss Tony Adams is still searching for his first league win in charge after Leon McKenzie's last gasp handed Peterborough a 2-1 win at the Causeway Stadium.
The Chairboys looked good for at least a point after Darren Currie had cancelled out an earlier McKenzie goal for Posh, but the visitors left them still rock bottom in Division Two with that late winner.
Posh settled really well and dominated the first half. A free-kick from Curtis Woodhouse on five minutes spelled Posh's intentions as Wycombe keeper Frank Talia fumbled and Andy Thomson cleared the danger.
Chris Vinnicombe then cleared off the line as Callum Willock sent the ball goalwards on 21 minutes. Another chance went begging as Mark Arber headed over another Woodhouse free kick on 27 minutes.
The opening goal arrived on 34 minutes when McKenzie headed home a Woodhouse free-kick from their left.
At the start of the second half, Craig Faulconbridge replaced Jermaine McSporran for Wycombe.
The home side showed a slight flurry of interest but it was Peterborough who created the chances.
Gavin Holligan replaced Steve Brown on 61 minutes and immediately Wanderers were on level terms.
A flick from Holligan found Currie and he equalised from 12 yards still in the 61st minute.
Stuart Roberts came close to establishing a lead for the home side when his long-range shot bent narrowly past the far post on 63 minutes.
Holligan showed some great skill by turning and sending a left-foot shot across James Pullen that brought a good save on 68 minutes.
Posh saved all their attacking options for the final ten minutes and a mistake by Holligan put Adam Newton away down the right and McKenzie's diving header won the game for Posh in the second minute of added on time.
